My computer artwork is created with a collection of software, most written by me, some commercially available and some freeware. First, the objects depicted in my work are modelled electronically with a CAD package. These models are converted, through a series of programs, into objects which are compatible with a ray tracing software package. I set the scenes by adjusting the lighting, camera view conditions, surface characteristics, and backgrounds. My artistic input is in the sculpting of the objects, determining their color and texture, and in all the aspects of setting the scene, much as a photographer would work.
My computer models are detailed, accurate, and suitable for use by motion picture special effects artists, graphic artists, computer game or multimedia designers, or hobbyists. In addition to the preview images of these models, many examples of the models' use can be seen on this website, including the production of aviation art and historically accurate aircraft profiles. There follows examples of the models.
